Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3

Course Summary

Our Emergency First Aid at Work training is designed to help individuals and organisations meet workplace First Aid requirements. Every course fully meets HSE requirements for First Aid at Work and complies with the most up-to-date UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Who Is It For

This course is suitable for staff required to take on the role of Emergency First Aider, or for anyone requiring a foundational understanding of First Aid procedures. Examples of relevant industries requiring Emergency First Aiders are office staff, sports coaches, teachers, construction subcontractors, fitness professionals, and personal trainers. Duration

This course has a minimum of 6 guided learning hours required, this can be achieved either:

In-person only: 1 day (6 hour in-person session)

Blended learning: 3 hours online learning, ½ day in-person (3 hours in-person session)

*For Blended, online learning must be completed before attending the classroom session. After booking, delegates will receive login details and instructions to access the e-learning platform. The online modules can be completed at your own pace and accessed on smartphones, tablets and computers, with progress automatically saved throughout.

Course Content Includes

  • Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider

  • Scene assessment and management

  • Hygiene and infection prevention

  • Treating an unconscious casualty

  • Heart attacks

  • CPR and AED (defibrillator) use

  • External bleeding

  • Choking

  • Burns and scalds

  • Shock

  • Seizures

  • Post-incident stress awareness

  • Treating minor injuries

There is no separate practical exam, learners are assessed continuously throughout the day. At the end of the course, delegates complete a short multiple-choice assessment and must achieve a minimum score of 75% to pass. Successful participants will receive a certificate that remains valid for three years.

In-person only: 3 days (3x 6 hour in-person session)

Course Summary & Who Is It For

Our Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR, AED use and Anaphylaxis training courses in Colchester are suitable for healthcare professionals who require annual BLS certification. The course is suitable for a wide range of healthcare roles, including GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, carers, and support staff working within clinical or care environments.

All training complies with the latest UK Resuscitation Council guidelines and is focused on ensuring learners have total confidence in their abilities.

There is no separate practical examination, as learners are assessed continuously throughout the course. At the end of the session, delegates complete a short assessment and must achieve a minimum pass mark of 75%. Successful participants will receive a certificate valid for one year.

This course is designed for individuals working within childcare environments who are required to hold an Ofsted-recognised Paediatric First Aid qualification.
It is suitable for professionals working in settings such as schools, pre-schools, and childcare services including childminders, nannies, au pairs, and sports coaches delivering activities in primary schools.

This course has a minimum of 6 guided learning hours required, this can be achieved either:

In-person only: 2 days comprising of 2x 6 hour in-person sessions

Blended learning: 1 day of online learning, 1 day in-person (6 hour in-person session)

First Aid at Work Level 3 Requalification

This has the same course information as the First Aid at Work Level 3 above, but with an eligibility criteria,different duration and pricing.

Eligibility

Learner must hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate, or one that has expired by no more than 28 days at the time of completing this training. If the qualification has been expired for longer than 28 days, the full three-day First Aid at Work course must be completed instead.

​

This course has a minimum of 12 guided learning hours required, this can be achieved either:

In-person only: 2 days comprising of 2x 6 hour in-person sessions

Blended learning: 1 day of online learning, 1 day in-person (6 hour in-person session)
